What gets tested

We’ve empowered countless individuals to take charge of their reproductive health journey. Our Advanced test kit includes all biomarkers tested for in our ProStarter test. In addition to covering vital markers such as Anti-Müllerian Hormone (AMH), Free Thyroxine (T3), Free Thyroxine (T4), and Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH), we’ve also included additional hormones essential for a holistic understanding of reproductive health:

  • Oestradiol: Oestradiol, a form of estrogen, is crucial for developing and maintaining reproductive tissues. Imbalances in Oestradiol levels can affect the menstrual cycle, potentially influencing fertility.

  • Luteinising Hormone (LH) and Follicle-Stimulating Hormone (FSH): LH and FSH are key regulators of the menstrual cycle. LH triggers ovulation, and FSH stimulates the development of eggs in the ovaries. Imbalances in these hormones can impact the timing and success of ovulation.

  • Testosterone: While present in smaller amounts compared to men, testosterone is important for women’s reproductive health. It contributes to the regulation of the menstrual cycle and supports ovulatory function. It’s also involved in the early stages of follicular development in the ovaries, influencing the maturation of eggs.

  • Sex Hormone-Binding Globulin (SHBG): SHBG modulates the availability of sex hormones, including testosterone and estrogen. Imbalances in SHBG levels can influence the effectiveness of these hormones in regulating fertility.
  • Prolactin:  Prolactin, while primarily associated with lactation, can also affect fertility. Elevated levels may disrupt the menstrual cycle and ovulation.  Monitoring Prolactin levels is particularly useful if you are experiencing irregular menstrual cycles or difficulties with ovulation.

Why do a fertility hormone test?

Every woman is born with a finite number of eggs, safeguarded within her ovaries. As time goes by, these eggs are released until the stock is depleted, signalling the onset of menopause. It’s worth noting that as the quantity of eggs decreases, so does their quality.

Our At-Home fertility test kits are designed to provide you with comprehensive information about your fertility potential by offering you a single, easy-to-use finger prick test.

In addition, our tests can detect any hormone imbalances which will help you understand if this could be the cause of:

• a low sex drive
• low energy levels
• low mood
• hot flashes and night sweats
• weight changes

We’ll send everything you need to do the test yourself, at home. Each kit comes with full instructions, so collecting your finger prick blood sample is quick and easy.
