Clair Engelbrecht is a board-registered medical scientist and healthcare professional with over 3 years’ working experience in clinical genetics and genetic counselling.
Her experience comes from working within both the public academic hospital setting and the private healthcare sector. She has vast experience in prenatal and cancer genetics, with a particular interest in immunology, haematology and preconception genetics.
Research projects Clair has been involved in include quality-of-life studies in adults with sickle cell disease and research into the underlying genetics of children with suspected inborn errors of immunity.
She has a passion for science, genetic education, and working with people.
